Fireshield Timberwhite
Fireshield TimberWhite is a water-borne intumescent coating designed to provide passive fire protection for interior timber surfaces while delivering a smooth architectural white finish. When exposed to high temperatures during a fire, the coating expands to form an insulating char layer that slows flame spread and protects the timber substrate.
The coating is specifically designed for interior timber walls, ceilings and architectural timber panels in residential and commercial buildings. TimberWhite can be applied directly to suitable timber substrates and may also be over-coated with decorative paints or finishes if a coloured surface is required.
When applied at the specified thickness, Fireshield TimberWhite can achieve Group 1 surface fire ratings in Australia and Group 1-S ratings in New Zealand, and can provide fire resistance for structural timber members of up to 60 minutes FRR in cellulosic fire conditions.
The coating is a low-VOC, environmentally friendly formulation that is halogen-free and suitable for interior dry environments where fire protection and architectural appearance are required.
