Fireshield Timber Clear Topcoat Matt
Fireshield TimberClear Top Coat Matt is a clear, solvent-based sealer designed to be applied over the Fireshield TimberClear intumescent basecoat as the final layer of the fire protection system for interior timber surfaces. The top coat protects the underlying intumescent coating from moisture, abrasion and environmental exposure while maintaining the natural appearance of the timber.
The coating forms part of the complete TimberClear fire protection system, which is commonly used on timber walls, ceilings and panels in commercial and residential buildings. Once the basecoat and topcoat system is applied at the specified thickness, the system can achieve Group 1 surface spread of flame ratings under the Australian National Construction Code (NCC) and Group 1-S ratings in New Zealand building codes.
Fireshield TimberClear Top Coat Matt is available in matt and low sheen finishes and is typically applied using airless spray equipment, although brush or roller application may be used for smaller areas. The coating must only be used as part of the approved TimberClear system and is intended for interior dry environments only.
