Fireshield 920KS
Fireshield 920KS is a high-build, two-pack solvent-free epoxy intumescent coating designed to provide passive fire protection for structural steel. When exposed to high temperatures during a fire, the coating expands to form an insulating char layer that helps prevent steel from reaching critical failure temperatures.
The coating is suitable for both interior and exterior structural steel elements including open and hollow steel sections. Fireshield 920KS can deliver fire protection ratings from 30 minutes up to 120 minutes depending on the steel profile and coating thickness.
With its solvent-free epoxy formulation, Fireshield 920KS provides durable protection in demanding environments and is suitable for corrosivity categories up to C5H. The coating can be applied directly to blasted steel or used as part of a complete primer, intumescent and topcoat fire protection system.
