Cafco Spray Film WB3

CAFCO SPRAYFILM WB3 is a water-based intumescent coating designed to provide passive fire protection for structural steel. The coating contains polyvinyl acetate resins and fillers that react when exposed to high temperatures, expanding to form an insulating char layer that helps prevent steel from reaching critical failure temperatures during a fire.

The product is applied directly to primed structural steel elements including columns, beams, angles, channels and hollow sections. When exposed to fire, the coating expands and creates a protective barrier that slows the temperature rise of the steel, helping maintain the structural integrity of the building.

CAFCO SPRAYFILM WB3 can provide fire resistance ratings of up to 120 minutes in accordance with Australian fire testing standards such as AS1530.4. The coating can be applied using airless spray equipment for efficient coverage, with brush or roller application also possible for smaller areas or touch-ups.
