Interchar 2090

Interchar 2090 is a single-component, solvent-borne acrylic intumescent coating designed to provide passive fire protection for structural steel. When exposed to high temperatures during a fire, the coating expands to form an insulating char layer that protects steel structures from reaching critical temperatures and structural failure.

This thin-film intumescent coating can provide up to 120 minutes of fire protection for structural steel elements including beams, columns, cellular beams and hollow sections. It is engineered to maintain architectural aesthetics while delivering reliable fire protection performance.

Interchar 2090 is suitable for both on-site and off-site application, offering rapid drying times and efficient handling for construction projects. The coating is typically applied over approved anti-corrosive primers and can be finished with compatible topcoats for additional durability and decorative finishes.
