Fireshield Timber Surface Solutions
Fireshield Timber Surface Solutions is a range of intumescent fire protection coatings designed to protect interior timber surfaces while maintaining the natural appearance of the wood. When exposed to high temperatures during a fire, the coating expands to form an insulating char layer that slows flame spread and helps protect the timber substrate.
The system includes clear, translucent and pigmented coating options such as TimberClear, TimberOne and TimberWhite, allowing architects and builders to achieve fire compliance while preserving the aesthetic of exposed timber surfaces. These coatings are commonly used on timber wall panels, ceilings, battens and engineered timber products including CLT and plywood.
Fireshield timber coatings are designed to achieve Group 1 or Group 1-S fire ratings for interior timber surfaces and can provide 30 to 60 minutes fire resistance for structural timber depending on the system design and application thickness.
The coating systems are suitable for use in commercial and residential interior environments where fire compliance is required without concealing timber behind plasterboard or other fire-rated linings.
