Firecoat Interior
FIRECOAT Interior is a water-based intumescent fire protection coating designed for interior surfaces such as timber, MDF, plywood and plasterboard. When exposed to flame or radiant heat, the coating expands to form a protective char layer that shields the underlying surface, slows flame spread and reduces smoke generation.
This protective barrier helps delay ignition and provides valuable additional time for building occupants to evacuate during a fire event. FIRECOAT Interior is suitable for use in residential and commercial spaces including kitchens, ceilings, stairwells, communication rooms and utility areas where enhanced fire protection is required.
The coating offers a smooth finish and can be applied using standard painting equipment such as brushes, rollers or airless spray systems. Once cured, it can also be overcoated with compatible water-based paints for aesthetic finishes while maintaining its fire protection performance.
